Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $51,000 - $67,000
Hours: 38 hours
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our team at Pholklore, Torquay. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to standardised recipes and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients and food items according to recipe specifications.
Execute cooking, grilling, baking, or frying tasks with precision and efficiency.
Cook and plate food items to meet presentation standards.
Ensure all food meets quality and portion control standards before being served.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of stock shortages or equipment issues.
Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work closely with kitchen team members to ensure efficient and timely food production.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and servers to fulfill customer orders accurately.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety principles, and kitchen equipment operation.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
Culinary degree or certification from a culinary school is a plus, but not required.
You may be required to work across multiple locations.
